Pancho

from the moment i first heard Pancho two years ago on a sweet, Thursday evening with Susie Cortez... I knew I liked this man... a lot. It was Passion Week... and I was about to experience my first Easter as a Christian. Pastor Pancho had given a sermon about the woman in Bethany washing Jesus' feet. Sure, I had heard the story before... several times, but it wasn't until this day-- only several days before Easter... that I understood the concept of giving Jesus your ultimate BEST... and forsaking everything unto Jesus.

Anyways, I found this video on youtube.
Enjoy.

"Thats heavy, man."

i wish i had...

"its coming on christmas. they're cuttin down trees.
they're putting up reindeer and singing songs of joy and peace
i wish i had a river... i could skate away on.
but it dont snow here. stays pretty green.
i'm gunna make a lot of money and i'm going to quit this crazy scene.
i wish i had a river i could skate away on.
i wish i had a river so long...
i could teach my feet to fly.

i wish i had a river, i could skate away on...
... im so hard so handle.
im selfish and im sad.
now i lost the best baby i ever had..."

originally by Joni Mitchell, i think this is one of the saddest songs i know. i dont really know if it was meant to be a sad song or not.. but something about it makes me sad. maybe her voice?... but something about it gets me every time.

i hadnt heard this song for a long time, so today when i listened to it... tears just came to my eyes. i wasn't listening to the original version, but instead i heard the Herbie Hancock and Corrine Bailey Rae re-make. safe to say, Corrine does the song justice.

a couple of days ago, i did something stupid...
and i really hurt someones feelings.... someone i love above all others. <3
i overreacted... and i took words that were meant for confirmation
we're mistaken for doubt.

it was my fault.
and i caused a problem.

oh, i wish i had a river... i could skate away on.

just get away from that weird hurt i feel right now.

no explanation necessary

"In 38 games with L.A.,
he has 14 home runs and 40 runs batted in."
and the seasons not even over...
what place are we in again?... oh yeah, first. <3
